Every two years, the Westampton Township Historical Society
creates a magical evening full of all the joys and wonders of Christmas' past and present.
During the Rancocas Village Christmas Tour we help our visitors step back in time
and enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas the way it was meant to be.
Rancocas Village is a tiny spot on the map. Settled over
300 years ago by Quakers, the Village has not changed much since then. Development has encroached
upon us from all directions, but the Village has maintained its sense of history and community. During our tour, we close the streets to vehicular traffic
and bring back the horse drawn carriages. We start outdoor fires to roast chestnuts and mull
cider. Enjoy the smell of fresh pine and the sound of holiday music and try out a horse-drawn
carriage ride. And most important of all, historic homes and public buildings throw open their
doors and invite the world in to visit with us. We take "decking the halls" very seriously around here.
Many of the homeowners have extensive collections of Christmas collectibles. You'll find everything
from groups of Santa figures, to complete ceramic villages. The Rancocas Village Christmas Tour is also
a "park and walk" tour since the entire tour is within a 3 block radius. Tickets prior to Tour are available at: Westampton
Township Municipal Building; William Spencer's on Creek Road in Rancocas Woods; ABCO Credit Union
on corner of Bridge and Beverly-Rancocas Road (bypass). Tickets are also available the night of
the tour - $18 for Adults and $18 for Seniors.
